Product-specific enquiries:
Fibre Cement Boards
Does Fibre Cement Board provide insulation?
Fibre Cement Boards are not thermal insulation materials by themselves; however, they do offer moderate thermal and acoustic resistance thanks to their dense structure and low thermal conductivity (around 0.25–0.35 W/m·K).
In most projects, they are used as part of an insulated wall or cladding system—for example, combined with insulation layers such as mineral wool or foam boards—to achieve full thermal and sound performance.
Silk Plaster
Is this product waterproof?
No. Silk Plaster is moisture-resistant but not fully waterproof. Once applied and dried, it forms a durable, breathable surface that resists humidity and minor splashes. However, it should not be used on areas exposed to constant water contact, such as showers or exterior surfaces without additional protection.
Is this suitable for exterior cladding?
No. As our product reacts with water, it is not suitable for external cladding and bathroom/toilets.
Is your product natural?
Silk Plaster is 100% natural made out of cotton and mica stones, due to its nature-friendly ingredients, it is non-allergens and does not smell.
How does this product benefit insulation?
After through tests, we’ve found that Silk Plaster increases sound and heat insulation by around 40% making your environment warmer and quieter.
How long does Silk Plaster take to dry after application?
Please allow 48 hours for your silk plaster to dry after application.
